Boo for Work...

It's been so nice outside, and we're all stuck working indoors...
You would think I would be sick of the sun after Talladega.
But I'm not. It's just so pretty outside.
I checked on the cost of BC yesterday.
For most of the other types, Nuvaring, Patch, another type of pill, it'll be $30 a month. That's $360 a year, and $1800 for 5 years. The Mirena, which is only $700 for one time, is worth it over time. So I'll be talking to Travis more about it.
Tomorrow is Friday!
Woo Hoo!

Hump Day

It's hump day, but we're ready for the weekend.
It's supposed to be a beautiful day, too bad we're stuck indoors most of it.
Damn work...
I've been cleaning our dirty house. It needs a really good cleaning, so I'm doing a few rooms a day. I'm not going to try and do it all in one day, that's just too much.
I have to do some research on BC. When I went to doctor's last week, they called Humana to find out what kind I could try next. Well, for the Mirena, it'll be over $700. And for the Implanon, that goes in your arm, will be over $1200. It's so expensive, since I haven't reached my $3000 deductible yet.
So Travis wants me to call and find out how much maybe the Nuva Ring, the Patch, and maybe a different type of pill, would cost over that much time, to see if the Mirena would be worth it.
Travis' parents sent me flowers yesterday to let us know their thinking of us.
It was very nice of them.
Hope everyone has a good Hump day!

Back to reality...

I'm back at work today.
It's been a week full of ups and downs...
I'm glad I went and saw Mom after my doctor's appointment last Tuesday.
It was the last time I saw her.
I got the call about 6:30 am on Wednesday from Jessie. It was Dakota's and Tyler's Birthday.
But that's how it is in our family.
So Wednesday and Thursday, Jessie and I went over to Grandma's to help Aunt Janice and Grandma with some things. Cleaning, just being there, and we helped get her picture ready for the funeral.
My dad, Gary stayed with us too over the weekend.
Friday, Travis and I headed to Talladega. We got to Atlanta right at 5:00 pm for rush hour. I will say 2 things about that, People in Georgia are CRAZY, and I would not want to travel that everyday. They have 4 lanes going in one direction, with people hauling ass. We stopped by the track to see what was going on, and the cops were pulling people over left and right. Our hotel was about an hour away in downtown Birmingham.
Saturday, we woke up and headed to the race. It was HOT! But it was beautiful weather. Our seats were right after the finish line. There was so many people there! Dale Jr. had a good race!
Sunday, we woke up about 6:30 am to go to the track. And everyone else had our idea. There was even more people there on Sunday. We got to see them taping NASCAR Raceday on Speed. It was a good race. We had the Race Scanner so we could here the drivers talking to their crews.
Dale Jr finished 2nd! WOO HOO! Carl Edwards crashed on the last lap, and 8 people were hurt in the stands. It was a long drive home.
Yesterday, we buried Mom. It was sad. The funeral was nice.
I'm more relieved than sad. I've had 4 months to prepare for this. And I have so many people who care about Jessie and I. She's in a better place and isn't in pain any more.
Thanks for all the prayers!

Ups and Downs...

We went and saw Mom last night. She's not doing well at all.
It's been almost a week, and she hasn't eaten or really drank anything.
She sleeps all the time now, and my aunt is having to give her medicine every 2 hours. She's not there any more, and it's hard to watch her the way she is and not be able to do anything for her. They say she's not in any pain, I hope so. Aunt Janice said the nurse said we should let her know that we'll be okay without her.
And she can let go.
So I had to tell her that I love her and I would look out for Jessie. That I have a wonderful husband and a house. And that I'll be okay, and she can let go and go to heaven.
I have to go to the OB/GYN doctor today. I don't really want to go, but I'm hoping I'll be able to change my BC. Travis and I were talking, and I think I might ask about the Mirena. You go once, and they put it in, have some discomfort, and that's it. I wont have to worry about anymore pills and hopefully not getting sick anymore. I can understand me getting sick the first few months, but EVERY MONTH, is a little ridiculous. And we're okay not having a baby for at least 5 more years. That would make me almost 30 and Travis 32.
So, we'll have to see.
Hope everyone has a good day!

Mondays suck...

I'm on a new pack of pills, and I woke up feeling like crap. I feel fine except for my stomach and head. Damn pills.
Well, I do go to the doctor tomorrow for my annual. I'm going to see about getting a different type of birth control. I'm so sick of being sick on these damn pills.
I'm not sure what to get though. I've been looking at the Mirena or Nuva Ring. Or maybe different type of pills, but I'm on Ortho-Tri-Cyclen Low.
We had a good weekend. Travis brought home an Oil Drum from work Friday morning, so we sat by that on Friday night.
Saturday, I went to Tyler's Birthday party, shopping with Jessie, and made Lasagna.
Sunday, we picked up our New Washer and Dryer. So that's nice to finally have our own.
We're going to go see Mom tonight. I'm not sure how much longer she has. The doctor's aren't even sure. So it's a waiting game.
This weekend is Talladega!
WOO HOO!

Friday

I'm glad it's Friday.
It's supposed to be a beautiful day.
Mom's supposed to be going home today. They're getting a hospital bed to Grandma's for her. She's taken a downward spiral ever since the beginning of this week. She was pretty good on Tuesday, but since then, she just sleeps. She'll wake up long enough to know your there, and that's about it. They've taken her off all the other medication besides the Methadone and Morphine. We asked about an IV for when she is home, and they said she doesn't need the nutrients since she is dieing now. The nurse can't say how long she has left. It depends on the person and what they've decided with God. I think that once she gets to Grandma's and knows we'll be fine without her, it might be soon. So it's a very sad waiting game...
This time next week, we'll be getting ready to go to Talladega!!!
I'm excited about going, but we're not sure about Mom, so we'll have to see how the next week plays out.
I'm re-reading Twilight again here at work. I'm bored, so if they don't want to give me work, then I'll read a book!
Hope everyone has a good Friday!
Have a good weekend!

Hump Day

It's Hump Day and the sun is out! But it's chilly outside.
Well, Mom's at the Hospice Hospital.
They had increased her pain medicine, and it makes her really groggy. So they put her in Hospice Hospital so they can keep track of her medicine, try her on some new ones and try to clear her head.
My aunt told the nurse who comes to the house, that when they increased her medicine, she didn't know she would loose Mom completely. So Jessie and I spent about 2 hours with her last night while Aunt Janice went home to check on Grandma and get some things. She knew we were there with her, but that was about it. She kept falling asleep, and would ask strange questions. But she will get to go home again. So that's a good thing. Jessie and I are going to see her again after work.
It's going to cost over $800 to have our AC fixed. There's a coil leaking Freon that has to be replaced. Damn shit is expensive.
But we do have our Tax Return pending to be deposited into our account. It's over $9000. We qualified for the First-Time Home Buyers Tax Rebate of $8000. And all we have to do is live in the house for at least 3 years. So that money will help fix more things around the house, and pay for us to go to Talladega next weekend!
Hope everyone has a good Hump Day!

Mom

Jessie called to let me know that they have increased our Mom's pain medication.
My aunt said when they do that, she won't have much time left...
She's really groggy now, and her words slurr on the phone.
I have a feeling that she may go next weekend when we go to Talladega.
Please keep her in your prayers.
At least she won't be suffering any more.

My Easter Basket Cake!

I made a Yellow Cake and frosting. No box cake or tub of frosting.
Travis helped cut it into shape, and did the white frosting.
I'm told it was good!

Gloomy

It's only 9:30 am and it's one of those days...
It's rainy and gloomy outside, and freezing in the damn office.
I'm going to be complaining...
Travis is getting pissed off at every thing I do today. He's mad that I've supposedly thrown away receipts for the house and his tools. He's mad that I didn't tell him last night the garbage went out for pick-up this morning. He's said they weren't out last night when he finished in the garage. But since they were out this morning when I left for work, I was supposed to turn around and put them out when it's sprinkling. No, your the man, you take out the damn garbage. Now he's mad that I have the medicine and band aids in the linen closet and not our bathroom. I didn't want them in the damn bathroom, or I would have put them there. I put away just about everything in that damn house, and all he did was the TV, Computer and garage and wants to bitch about me. He hasn't done dishes once, he hasn't done a damn thing in that house, and thinks he has so much to do in his damn garage with all "his projects". I've come home and cooked dinner just about every night, I take care of the animals, I go grocery shopping and I pick up the clutter (his shit too) in the house. If you don't want me throwing things away, put them away, don't leave them out. He bitches at me for not paying enough attention to detail, when he leaves it all up to me to do inside. I know the garage is "his", but give me a break. I work my butt off too.
This damn office has sticks up their damn butts. Every one thinks everything revolves around them and it has to be done their way. One lady went to the doctor yesterday and I told someone who called that she was at the doctor (Since she was) and Wanda called and told me not to tell people they're at the doctor. And I know who it was. WHO CARES? Everyone goes.
Do it this way, do it that way...
I'm ready to go home...

Mondays suck...

Mondays suck...
And weekends need to be longer.
We had a pretty good weekend.
We got off at 3 o'clock on Friday, and I went and spent an hour and half at the Wal-Mart on Normandy. I've never been to that one, and going the Friday before Easter in the grocery side wasn't a good idea. About $280 later, I went home and put it all away. I got done with shopping and organizing about 6:15. 3 hours of that crap. But our fridge, freezer and pantry now has lots of food, which is what Travis wanted. Then I cleaned some of the windows on the outside. Now I have to do the insides. So much work goes with keeping up a house...
Saturday, Travis came home from work and re-fixed the toilet. He got in a big hurry on Friday and had to re-do. I went with Jessie to Mom's storage room to go through boxes. I now have decorations for every holiday but 4th of July and Birthdays. But every time I decorate, it'll make me think of Mom, which will be sad. But it will remind me of home when I was little. Travis cut the grass, organized the garage, and finished his work benches. I got home and we decided to go out to dinner. We both had been working all day and didn't feel like cooking. So we had Adam meet us up at Dick's Wings for beer and wings. And we rode the motorcycles too.
Yesterday was a good day. I got up and made my Easter basket cake with Travis' help in decorating it. Then we went to Grandma's to see everyone. I was supposed to cook Easter dinner and have everyone over at our new house. And they said Janice was just going to cook a small meal. 20 people is not a small meal. Plus there was no where for anyone to eat since Grandma doesn't have a dining room. So we didn't stay to eat. My mom is getting worse. It's sad to see her like this now. And to think of how she was just 6 months ago. I cried on my way home. I have a house and no one has seen it since the day we moved in. It's been 2 weeks. I wanted to move in before Easter so I could cook, and they all wanted to crowd in at Grandma's. So I made us our own dinner last night.
So now they want to come over this week. I was thinking maybe I'd make Lasagna and they could eat with us.
Well, hope everyone had a good Easter!
Is it 5 yet?

Finally FRIDAY!

I'm so happy it's FRIDAY!
It's also Good Friday!
Yesterday was a bad day...
Between what's going on with my Mom and the lay offs here at work...
I felt like crying most of the damn day.
Then I went home, had a good cry, and I'm a lot better now.
Travis is working on projects around the house... And now he's trying to fix the toilet in the master bath... He called and said he thinks he opened a can of worms... So he's on his way to Home Depot to see if they can help fix the toilet.
The house is updated through out and looks good, but the damn people half-assed everything. So we're having to pay the price to get it all done properly.Very aggravating...
Two weeks from today we'll be heading to Talladega! And I'm not sure who they're going to have cover the phones while I'm gone. They've laid off the 2 people that could have done it. And now the one's left are busy doing their jobs. So I'm going, even if they fire me. It's not my fault they've laid of all of my back ups. And I told them about this trip like 2 weeks ago. So fuck them...
We're going to Mom's storage room tomorrow to get more stuff. It'll be a sad day.
Then Sunday, I'm making a really cute Easter cake to take to Grandma's. I'll take pictures.
Hope everyone has a good weekend!
Happy Easter!

Sad

We went and saw Mommy last night.
She's turned yellow from the Jaundice.
And is tired and weak from the medication she's on.
They said she probably has about 4 weeks or so left.
It's sad to see her now and how she was just 6 months ago at my wedding full of life. It's amazing how you see them just slip away...
And we've been getting our presents we gave her back. I got my birdhouse back that I painted her as a thank you present for the wedding. I got our engagement picture back that I gave her 2 Christmases ago, and a painting I made for her birthday in 2005.
And Saturday we're going back to her storage room to see what's left that we want or is ours.
And today feels like Friday...
Another day to go...

Hump Day

I have a feeling it's going to be one of those days here at work...
Some people need a major attitude adjustment.
Get off your high horse and quit thinking your better than the rest of us...
Everyone is one pins and needles, wondering if we're going to be able to keep our jobs. They have officially laid off 3 people now. It's sad to see your friends that you work with everyday not going to come back. I think a lot of what's wrong with the company comes from the people who own it and run it. The owner for one, is never here. Then 3 of his kids work here, come and go as they please, and probably get a 40 hour paycheck more than any of us who works our butts off everyday, all day. The son they say will probably be the next one to run this company, within the last month spend $7000 in 2 nights at a titty bar. And then has the urge to tell us to watch what we spend here on office supplies. That man spends more money off "partying" while he's supposedly working. The one's in charge here have ruined the reputation of this company and no one wants to work with us.
So lack of work means lay offs...
Jessie and I are going to go see Mom today.
We need to see her as much as we can.
I haven't worked out since before we moved in. We were busy packing and cleaning. And when we moved in, I sprained my ankle. It's still not all the way better. I can't bend it like my other one, so I haven't really been able to exercise.
Happy Hump Day!

Cold...

It's down right chilly outside today...
I don't know where this cold weather came from, but it needs to go away.
It's freakin April...
We like the 70's in Florida in April!
But it's not supposed to last long...
I got my hair cut last night. It's shorter and I like it. Something new for Summer!
It's amazing how "friends" you haven't talked to in a while, all of a sudden are all there for you because something bad happens. They don't call or write to you for months, and all of a sudden, every one's like I'm here for you. Thanks, but where were you 2 months ago, 6 months ago. Jessie has been moved into her new place since right after Christmas, and Ashley has never seen it. And she lives in the same damn town has us. I don't think Holly has seen it either. And she's our sister. I don't call people like I should, but I do at least send comments and messages to let them know I'm thinking of them.
Anyway...
Have a good day!

Understimulated...

Boo for Mondays...
Weekends need to be longer...
And it's raining on a Monday morning...
We had a good weekend.
Hung out at home on Friday, since Travis had to go to work.
Saturday, I went and did laundry with Jessie and hung out with her for a few hours while Travis slept. Then we went and had some wings and beer before heading downtown for Supercross. We had so much fun. I forget how fun dirt bikes are to watch in person. Beer cost $7 a bottle. That's ridiculous.
But we had the best seats this time. I took some pictures on my phone.
Then yesterday, we woke up and went to Home Depot and spent lots of money. We bought some things for the house, garbage cans, wood for Travis' work benches, sealer for the bathrooms, rake, push broom, sand for the lizards. It was damn expensive. Plus, Travis still has to go buy a lawn mower, weed eater and a ladder. And I cleaned and we watched the race.
I talked to my mom last night. She's not doing good at all. Hospice is coming everyday to check on her and make sure her medicine is right. She doesn't feel like she has the strength to leave the house anymore. She also said that Jaundice is setting in. Means she's turning yellow, since her liver is shutting down. Jessie and I are going to go see her on Wednesday and on Easter.
I get sad when I think about it. My poor mommy...
Jessie and I are going to get our hair cut today after work. I want to get it shorter for the summer. Something different.
Hope everyone has a good week!

Friday, April 3, 2009

What a day...

I'm happy it's Friday!
I'm so excited about going to Supercross tomorrow night! WOO HOO!
But it's a sad day here at work...
They're letting people go in the office due to lack of work.
We've haven't received a new job this year except what little jobs we've been given by the owner's son-in-law's company. No big jobs with big contractors.
It's hard...
And I was asked if I wouldn't mind doing some of the work I used to do in Detailing before they put me back up as the receptionist. I don't mind. I don't really do much as it is, but I'm important since I answer the phones.
Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Thursday, April 2, 2009

Another day...

It's another day of work...
It's not raining right now. But we're under a flood watch and a tornado watch. Lots of rain still to come, with us here at work. I hope it doesn't get too bad...
They came out with a memo today when they passed out paychecks about how people here can't keep the bathrooms clean. It's common courtesy to flush the damn toilet when your done. And obviously the grown men here can't seem to make it in the urinals. Last time I checked, we were all grown adults. So if it doesn't get better in about 3 weeks, then their going to each week, give an employee the bathrooms to clean. That's fucking disgusting. I'll clean my toilets at home where Travis and I go, but I'm not touching the ones here where you don't know what these damn people have. GROSS!!!!
I got some more unpacking done last night. I started organizing the "Pet's Bedroom", and I went through and divided the towels and sheets from my mom. I also organized our master bedroom closet and clothes. It feels good when you get a box unpacked, and see more of your things around the house. It makes it feel a little more like home.
I found some really cute cakes for Easter. Now I can't decide which one to do. I have a Sunflower Cake with Peeps, an Eater Bunny Cake with Eggs, and 2 different Easter Basket Cakes.
Hmmm.....
Supercross is this weekend downtown. It's the first time ever in Jacksonville. We've had to go down to Orlando to see it before. It'll be so awesome to see the dirt bikes racing around the stadium. Hopefully, we'll have some good weather, since the stadium doesn't have a roof on it.
Is it 5 yet?

WORK

Rainy Day

The rain has officially began...
I like rainy days.
We don't have a whole day of rain too often.
I love our new house! I love all the space we have. I still haven't gotten everything all unpacked, but that takes time. I love my new kitchen. I have so much counter space. I also love my dish washer.
I'm so happy we're not at those shit hole apartments any more.
We never have to go back.
My ankle is still swollen. I can walk just fine, it's just big.
I finally got my bicycle. My mom had one in her storage room that nobody else wanted. It needs new tubes in the tires. But it's free. So once we get all unpacked and my ankle is better, I'm going to start riding it daily for exercise. It'll help get rid of some of the fat on my thighs and butt.
Happy Hump Day!
