Finally Friday!

I'm so happy it's Friday!
Now if only it was 5:00 pm already.
I think it'll be next week before we hear anything about our offer for the house. Gail called Travis last night and she said she changed somethings around to help us with negotiating. They not looking at any other offers but ours right now, which is wonderful for us. She asked that they do a WDO (Wood Destroying Organism) Inspection. The last one was done in 2007 if Travis remembers correctly. It's a wood frame house with wood siding. I would say it needs one.
So it's a weekend of waiting.
We don't have a lot of plans this weekend.
Tonight, I'm grocery shopping, Travis is hanging out with Adam today.
Tomorrow, David here at work, wants Travis to look at his motorcycle. Somethings wrong with it and Travis does know his motorcycles.
Sunday, I think we may be helping Pam, Dave, and Tyler (my older sister and her husband and son) move some of their things into a New Apartment. They live with her dad, and they can't stand it anymore. They've been married for 5 years in April, and Tyler's 5 and in Kindergarten. I would say they need their own home, again. They lived at our Apartments for a year, then moved back to her dads. It's been 6 months, and their bickering.
Then Sunday night, it's the SUPERBOWL.
I don't really care who wins, but we'll be watching it!
Well, hope everyone had a happy Friday!
Have a good weekend!

Rain...

It started raining last night about 10:00 pm, and I don't think it has stopped.
Then the temperature is supposed to keep dropping all day.
How we do we go to 77 degrees to 58 degrees over night.
This is what makes everyone sick...
Still waiting to hear about the house. Hopefully we'll hear something today.
I'm excited. I hope we get it because it's an adorable house for our first one.
I got my cleaning done, and I did some yoga. Once we get a house, I want to get a bicycle to ride around the neighborhood. It's good exercise, and it's not running. I would get all the Cardio I need that way, plus it's good for your butt and thighs (my problem area).
I hope it quits raining before we get off. I really don't wanna do laundry in the rain tonight.
I can't wait till I can do my laundry at home!
Hope everyone has a good day!

Waiting...

Well, we put an offer for the house in last night.
Now we wait to see what happens next.
I really hope the accept it or give back a counter offer.
They don't have any other offers right now, so that's a good thing for us.
We were figuring out our payment last night and it'll be about $850 a month. We're paying $645 right now for the apartment, and the house has so much more to offer us.
I haven't gotten to work out at all this week.
Monday we looked at the other house and didn't get home until almost 7 pm.
Last night, I had to cook dinner, then we went over to Gail's house and was there until 9:45 pm.
Tonight, I have to clean. I didn't get to very good last week with Mom's birthday being on Wednesday, so it'll need it tonight.
It's supposed to rain tonight, and be cold again.
I'll be so happy when Spring gets here.
Let's hope we'll be getting some good news soon!
Is it 5 yet?

Going to put in an offer!

Well, last night after work, I met Travis over at the house we wanted to see. I got there first and had to wait about 15 minutes. So Travis pulled up, and we walked around the back of the house to look at the "barn". And it was a red barn in the backyard. But there was shit all over the place. Looked like they used something, and forgot to put anything away ever. We were worried about the inside being a disaster area. It wasn't, but I didn't like it.

So we went down the street to look at the other one. We still love it. Travis is afraid the kitchen is going to be too small for me. But I'm not worried. As long as I can have an eat in table, it'll be fine. If I couldn't have the table, then I would need lots of counter space. And it doesn't have a fireplace, but we're going to get a gas one put in. I said as long as it's in by next Christmas/Winter. All the bathrooms have been remodeled, new vanity, new tile throughout. The Kitchen's been updated, with nice cabinets and counter tops, with Stainless steel appliances. It has hardwood floors through out, except the bedrooms. It needs a little work done, such a it doesn't have a Fridge or a washer/dryer. The back porch needs to be finished, and needs a new fence around the property. It needs landscaping and 2 bedrooms painted. But other than that it's move in ready. I so hope we get it!

Here's a picture:

Keep your fingers crossed!

Damn Pills...

I started a new pack last night, and now I'm sick...
I really hate those pills, I just need to try to remember to take it early on Sunday.
I'll be happy when I don't get sick anymore...
We had a good weekend.
Friday night we grilled out, and Adam came over.
Saturday, we went house hunting. We didn't have much luck early in the day, but the last 2 houses we fell in love with.
But one already had a couple of offers on it.
The other one, is off of Normandy, past Herlong Airport.
It's a quiet neighborhood.
So Travis looked online last night, and found another house for sale in the neighborhood. It's got 100 more square footage and a fireplace. Plus this one needs updating, so we'll get to do it all. The other is already done for the most part. So not much to do...
I think we're going to go see it today after work. It's owner occupied, which is a good thing for us.
Then yesterday, we went over to my Grandma's for Mom's birthday party, again. It was the rest of the family just hanging out. I rode my motorcycle over there, and when we left we had everyone watching me on my bike. I called when I got home to let them know we got home safe.
I'm so ready to go home, or at least feel better.
Is it 5 yet?

Tired...

I'm tired...
But at least it's Thursday!
We went over to my Grandma's last night for my Mom's Birthday. It's nice to see everyone, I just wish we could do it more. Everyone loved my cake! My mom was able to eat a piece. She opened her cards, and we took a few pictures.
She has a house full of furniture and extra stuff in a storage room from when she sold her house here. Travis and I are going to get her master bedroom furniture set and her couch and love seat for our new living room. Our red couch is about done. I'm sure we're going to be getting more, I'm just not sure what yet.
She started her radiation this week. She's still in a lot of pain, their trying to organize her pain medicine. She'll have 3 more weeks left to go. Then hopefully she'll be able to do more and not have to worry about the pain or medicine as much. I think she may be worse off then she's letting on. She hasn't been doing all the good lately. Hopefully, it's just the radiation. May will be one year that the initial tumor was found, and pancreatic cancer is the most aggressive.
I think she'll prove them all wrong!
A whole bunch of new houses came available last night. All really cute and big! We're going to be doing a lot of house hunting this weekend! I hope we find the one and we can move on it and hopefully move in soon! We're so ready to find a house and move, that we're tempted to start packing because we know we'll have to someday, and it'll be done and we can move as soon as we get the keys! Keep your fingers crossed for us!
Well, hope everyone has a good day!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my Mom's 61st birthday.
This may be her last one, so there will be lots of crying tonight when we get together for cake and ice cream. I made her cake last night. It's white cake with homemade chocolate frosting (check my blog for the homemade frosting recipes!). Then I made some pink, more like red frosting, to decorate the the sides. Then I put some candies on top that said Happy Birthday. My chocolate frosting went on perfect, but the red was to soft. But not too bad for my first time doing a cake like that.
It's so freaking cold. It was 29 this morning at 7:30 am. The high is 48 today.
It's supposed to be even colder tonight. Down near 20. It's Florida, in the south, it's not supposed to be this cold...
I worked out again last night. I did 30 minutes of Pilates, then I did about 40 squats. That's 2 days in a row this week. Go me! I'm going to workout tonight, but not as long, since I have to get ready to go see Mom.
Well, hope everyone stays warm today!
Happy Hump Day!

Our Story

When I think about Travis and I, it feels as if something bigger was at work.
When I was single again, 2 years after we had met, he was no longer in Arizona, but Florida. I think that we both had to do some growing up, before we could finally be together the way we were meant to be.
January 2003, my friend Shannon, hooked up with a guy who was a Marine at Shades. They later got a hotel room with some of his friends for a party. The next day, I get a call from Shannon inviting me to come to the hotel to see her with some of our other friends. I was dating a guy named Joe at the time, and Jessie was sorta single then. We get there and their all tore up from drinking way too much. Well, later on, the Cops got called on them, and Joe and I had to go find Jessie (my sister) with Travis at the movies. I remember standing outside with them, watching him call people and thinking how incredibly handsome he was. I guess Travis thought Jessie was cute at the time, but she eventually blew him off.
Joe and I broke up the next month, (He was cheating on me with a Pregnant chick that wasn't ever his baby). I was going to Shades all the time then with Shannon and Michele. We ran into Travis and his friends there again. Well, Michele told Travis that I thought he was cute, so he started dancing with me. I felt really good dancing with him, after he left Michele for me!
We hung out a few more times after that. I felt something was there between us, if given the time, which we didn't have then. Then in April, he was stationed in Yuma, Arizona. He kept calling even after he was in Arizona, and wanted me to come see him.
In May, I met Dean, so I quit talking to Travis.
The next summer, Travis called my mom's house, and we started talking again, but Dean wasn't very happy about this.
May 2005, I broke up with Dean, and put a restraining order on him.
My mom saw that I was sad, so she said to call Travis.
So I did, and he was living in Pensacola. He had since gotten out of the Marines and moved back to Florida in April.
He came out 4th of July weekend in 2005, and the rest we all know.

Too Damn Cold...

I'm really starting to hate this cold weather...
I have no idea how I'm going to be able to live up North someday...
The high today is only 49, but the wind is blowing, so it'll feel even colder. Then we're supposed to have a hard freeze tonight. Where are you warm weather?
I worked out last night. I did about 35 minutes of Yoga, about 50 squats, and 25 ab rollers. Travis worked out too. I'm going to be busy tonight. I have to cook Travis' dinner, clean house, work out, and make my mom's birthday cake for tomorrow night. Plus, Nip/Tuck comes on at 10:00. Lots to do at home, but I can't till I get there.
Still looking for a house, I hope we can find a new one soon. It'll be nice to have a warm house hopefully with a Fireplace next winter! And a bigger kitchen, and a garage for Travis, more room for Lilly, I could keep going on and on...
Obama will become our President today.
That's all I have to say about that...

Another Monday...

We had a good weekend. Uneventful, but good.
We didn't get to go look at houses this weekend, boo hoo.
We wanted to go Saturday, but Gail never called Travis back on Friday night. He didn't get a hold of her until early Saturday afternoon, and said we could go Sunday. So we drove around, looked at 2 houses we hadn't seen yet from the outside, and went home. I slept most of the day on Saturday, simply because it was boring, and I was tired from the work week.
Gail called yesterday, to tell us that she couldn't go house hunting with us because her daughter whose pregnant, needed her.
We just hope that we're not missing out on any good houses having to wait around until it's convenient for her to go. She's not the one buying the house, we are. There are quite a few good ones out there right now, and I'm afraid we're going to miss out on them. Gail only does this part time now, and if we cant go out looking this weekend, then I don't know what Travis is going to do.
I'm going to work out tonight. I've got to go home and pick up some, do the dirty dishes, then I can work out. I've got a Sweet and sour chicken skillet for dinner, I hope it's good.
Is it 5 yet?

Didn't get the house...

Well, I just heard from Travis that they didn't accept our offer for the house.
Oh well, things happen for a reason, and maybe that wasn't supposed to be our first house.
It's kinda sad, with all the ideas you get in your head about what you could do to the place...
But there's lots more houses out there!
I'm sure we'll find the right one, and now we know what to do!
Wish us luck!

Still Waiting...

I hate waiting this long for a damn answer.
We were watching a show last night on HGTV, about a couple wanting to buy a home, and they heard back within like 15 minutes, then another 15 for a counter offer.
Why do we have to wait so long?
Hopefully, we'll hear something today. And it's good news!
I worked out again last night, as did Travis.
I did one of the videos from OnDemand. It was Tamilee and she originally did the Buns and Abs of Steel videos way back when. So, I did her 15 minutes Buns routine. I can certainly feel it today. Then I did about 5 minutes of an Abs routine, and I had to be done. But I've worked out 2 days this week. It's better than none, and I have been having a good dinner too.
Joe sent Travis an email on Myspace, letting him know that he'll be in Orlando, Sunday to Wednesday next week. Stupid fucker never called to let us know if he was coming to our wedding, then called afterward and said he would send us a present. We never got a damn thing. I think Travis is better off not being friends with him at all. He certainly doesn't act like a friend, especially after he lived with us, and didn't have anything to do with us after he moved back to Arizona. Couldn't even call and let us know about the wedding... I don't like him and could care less about him. I hate the way Travis acts with him around.
Well, hopefully, we'll hear a YES today.
I so wish it would WARM UP!

Waiting...

Well, last night we met with Gail and we officially have an offer on the house.
We're going in over asking price, but asking them to put in a new HVAC, water heater, and stove so we may qualify for our FHA loan with the lower Interest Rate. If they accept our offer, then we figured we would get a used refrigerator and dishwasher for the time being until we remodel the whole kitchen, then we'll buy the stainless steel. When we get our taxes back or we receive the First-Time Home Buyer Tax Rebate of $7500, then we'll get my washer and dryer. We gave them till 5:00 pm on Friday to let us know. I hope they accept, if not, then we'll change our offer and try again.
Travis stayed home today. They ran out of trucks yesterday, so there wasn't really a reason for him to go in. He'll just be wasting gas. I hope they pick up again soon. I'm sure he would like to get his 4o hours, but then again, he might like having the time off. But I do know that he gets bored all day home without me. I think it's sweet.
It's supposed to freeze tonight I think. I know it's colder than it has been. I wish it would warm up again.
I'm sleepy today, and could go home and crawl back in the warm bed next to Travis.
But I'm stuck here.
Is it 5 yet?

Still waiting...

Today is wet and cold.
Makes you just wanna go home and snuggle up and do nothing!
Maybe take a nap...
We've been working out numbers trying to get to the point of when we can make an offer for the house. My mom now wants to put $10,000 down to help us get a lower interest rate and a lower monthly payment. Now we're waiting on Gail and Lisa (lender from Wells Fargo) to get together and hopefully we'll have all the financing we need to put in an offer. I really want us to get this house. I hope we're doing everything we can. If all the paperwork goes correctly, and they accept our offer, then we're one step closer.
I guess my mom is also going to help us get all of the appliances we need too.
That will be nice not having to worry about the condition of them.
I know their new!
I did work out last night. I did about 40 minutes of my 3-2-1 video. I've been trying to be better on my diet so my working out isn't for nothing. I just need to stick with it and eventually I'll start seeing results.
I'm tired of the rain... it's making me sleepy...
Is it 5 yet?

We found a home!

I'm so excited!
We found a home yesterday in Argyle that we and our realtor love!
She walked in, looked around and said she found our home!
It's in Chimney Lakes, on a cul-de-sac. It's a 4/2 with 1710 square feet and is $91,900. It doesn't have a fireplace, but we can always put one it. It has a screened in back patio, and a 2 car garage. It needs a new A/C condenser (outside part) a new water heater, appliances in the Kitchen, and a washer and dryer. But we figured if we could put $5000 down, then we would be able to finance $100,000, and have $13,100 left for all the appliances. The carpet is in good shape, just needs a good cleaning, and the walls need a fresh coat of paint.
We told my mom about it and she's excited about it too.
She said that we could have her old master bedroom furniture set and she has a living room set too. So we could put our bed now in a guest bedroom.
Travis is going to talk to Gail tonight, and see what we need to do to put in an offer on it.
It's a good home, in a really good neighborhood, that is priced way below.
So keep your fingers crossed, that we may have a new home soon!

My mom has cancer...

Last night was a very sad night for Jessie and I.
When my mom was in the hospital last May, and they told her that the tumor on her pancreas wasn't not cancerous, they lied. It was indeed cancer, and has doubled in size, and unfortunately spread to her liver. They sent her home without doing all the proper tests because she was paying out of pocket. She didn't have health insurance. So they told to go home and come back in 6 months, and now it's worse. They said that she probably won't live this year out. She's going to do radiation to shrink the tumor on her pancreas to reduce the amount of pain she's in. Then she's going to let it run it's course. She's not going to do Chemo because it's not worth all the pain and sickness for her to only live 2 more months. She's accepted and isn't afraid. She was worried about them taking her money and not being able to help out Jessie, Lea and I. But she found out that as long as she's making payments, they cant get it. She's going to sell her house down by Tampa, then she won't have an estate. She's going to file a law suit against Shands for sending her home and not catching the cancer the first time she was there. It's not right what they did to her and now she's going to die. And they don't want them to do this to another family.
She's going to help fix up Jessie's new home, with carpet, a new bed, and make it into a good home for them. She's also going to give Travis and I our $15,000 to help us buy our house. So we'll get our house and we'll have money, but I wont have my Mommy here to share it with for much longer.
Travis and Bobby has known about this since about Thanksgiving, and had to keep it from Jessie and I. That was especially hard for them to do.
The GATORS ARE THE BCS CHAMPIONS! WOO HOO!
This is will be an exciting year and a very sad year.
Hope everyone has a good weekend!

GO GATORS!

Tonight is the night...

I'm glad it's Thursday!
That means tomorrow is Friday!
I worked out again last night. And I cleaned house. I wasn't done till about 9:15 last night, with my shower and everything. After that I was watching TV, and The Notebook and A Walk to Remember was on. Both movies make me tear up every time I watch them. Travis was sitting next to me reading his magazine, so I was trying not to tear up too bad. Both are wonderful love stories.
Well, tonight my Mom is coming over to tell Jessie and I what's going on with her. Back at Thanksgiving, she said to hold off on asking Gary for the money to help us buy our first house. She said to wait after the holidays, and everything will make sense. Well, tonight is that night. I have a feeling it's not good news. Both Travis and Bobby already know. I just hope everything is going to be okay. And she'll be healthy. She turns 61 on January 21. I guess she's looking out for us by not wanting to hurt us.
Hopefully the GATORS WILL WIN!!!
GO GATORS!

Rain

It's supposed to be rainy and windy today...
Then it's supposed to cool off...
Maybe it'll start feeling like January. But I like the warm weather!
I worked out again last night. I did one of my videos that does cardio and strength training in one. It's a circuit workout. I did about 30 minutes of that last night. Travis also worked out. We're using each other as the buddy system. We both have put on weight over the last few months. I'm going to work out again today before I clean house. But my abs and arms are still sore from Monday night, so I'm going to concentrate on my buns and legs.
I go to the Doctor on Friday. I'm supposed to be going to get a refill on my pills, but I think I'm going to switch kinds. I'm not real sure yet what kind, but I'm tired of all the hassle taking the pills are for me. I hate having to worry about my stomach being upset because of them. Now to figure out which kind...
Toni, my friend at work who I eat lunch with, is going on a Cruise tomorrow. So she won't be here Thursday, Friday, or Monday. So lunch is going to be very boring without her. Hopefully, Travis will come and have lunch with me on Friday.
Well, hope everyone has a good Hump Day!

Canon Power Shot A590

I'm very proud of myself.
I went home last night and worked out. It was for 45 minutes and a mixture of cardio and strength training. I already feel it in my abs and shoulders. It says that I burned about 310 calories. YEAH!
I also did very good with my eating. I was bad with dinner though. I was hungry when I got home, and started working out. Afterward, I got my shower, an my stomach felt horrible. So I had a PB&J and a Star Crunch really late last night.
But I'm going to be really good tonight!
I got my new camera today! It's a Canon Power Shot A590. It's got 8.0 Mega Pixels, 4X zoom. It came with a mini tri-pod, rechargeable battery charger, and a 5 piece lens cleaning kit. I can't wait to start using.
It's a really cool Christmas Present from my hubby!
My mom has been feeling really bad lately. I think it has something to do with her cancer scare earlier this year. Travis and Bobby both know, but not Jessie and I. She's been trying to get us some money to help us buy our first house. And Travis told her last night that she needs to tell me and Jessie whatever is wrong. He said she would this weekend, then everything will make sense. I'm not sure exactly what that means, but I'm sure this is something very major. Travis made a comment last night that Mommy's sick, and she wont be around forever.
It makes me really sad just thinking about it.
Well, hope everyone has a good Tuesday.

Monday, January 5, 2009

Back to work...

I so do not feel like working today...
Travis called me earlier and said they didn't have a lot to do at his job...
And it's a full week too...
I'm going to start working out today when I get home. I'm going to try my best to work out as much as I can. I need to... I'm also writing down what I eat and counting my calories. They say if you write down everything you eat in a day, it helps to see what you don't need to be eating. So wish me luck!
We didn't do much for New Years... Travis at least got better, and Adam came over and we drank a few beers and watched the ball drop.
Then New Years day, we slept in late. Then I cleaned and went grocery shopping, and Travis watched some football and did the carpets.
Then on Friday we went shopping. Travis got some new tools for work. I was going to buy the Twilight series at Books a Million, and that shit is expensive. Just for New Moon, it was like $10 for the paperback. Then for the hard back of Eclipse, it was like $20. So I said forget about it.
On Saturday, we went on a motorcycle ride (my bike started with no problems!) and looked at some houses. I hope we get our money soon, there is alot of nice houses for sale (even in Argyle) that are within our price range, but we can't do anything about it. It's frustrating...
Then Saturday night, we went out to dinner, and hung out with Megan, Chris, and Kristina. Megan and I went and saw Jessie's new place. It looks so much better since it's being painted now. Then we went to Wal-mart. Travis and Chris hung out with the baby and watched the Playoffs.
Then yesterday, we did nothing. I read my book all day, and Travis watched more football. But the Eagles won last night! Yeah!
And on Thursday night is the Gator Game! I hope they win!
Hope everyone has a good Monday and week!
